South Africa is home to hundreds if not thousands of Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs). Less than forty of these  REITs are listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange and here we are listing the top 34 Real Estate Investment Trusts in South Africa. According to the JSE, Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs) offer investors exposure to real estate properties and mortgages through a JSE-listed instrument. Property loan stock companies and property unit trusts, listed on the JSE have been converting into REIT structures since April 2013.
